Our awesome team currently consists of Brad, Wendy and Kelly in admin and marketing, Rob our operations manager, Jesse, Geoff and Luke our tradesman and Mike, Kingston and Thomas the apprentices.
We are based in Hamilton and service the greater Waikato.

Hi, I’m Brad Martin from Leading Edge Electrical. I grew up on a dairy farm in Morrinsville and have lived in Hamilton since leaving home and starting my Electrical Apprenticeship as a youngster back in the 90’s.
I started Leading Edge Electrical after working for many years as an Electrician in both NZ and overseas. I’ve personally installed over 200 SmartVent Home Ventilation Systems and wired hundreds of homes and residential renovations.
I’ve spent years training and working with my first-class team of qualified tradesmen and apprentices to ensure we can offer the best service and workmanship possible.
Leading Edge Electrical continues to grow as our customers continue to appreciate our top-class workmanship, steel clad guarantee and great customer service.

If I’m not at work, I can be found out on the water: catching dinner for my family, shredding some tracks on my mountain bike, hitting a ball around on the golf course or hanging out at a local playground or bush track with my young family. Our man Rob has been with us here at Leading Edge Electrical since 2015. Over this time he has shown great dedication to the job and always completes his work to a high calibre.
Rob is a busy lad here at work, but also a super busy dad of 3 young kids. Rumour has it that he loves to tinker with classic cars with his current fav being his Chevrolet Belair. Rob gets the most job satisfaction from seeing a project come together after working on it from start to finish.
From sorting the accounts, to scheduling, booking in the jobs and being our customer service superstar – Wendy is the glue that makes all the hard work stick together. Wendy has many years of accounts and admin experience and has been adding to her expertise here at Leading Edge Electrical since 2017.
In her time off, Wendy enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, both whom live in Hamilton and spending time renovating her home.
For the past 8 years, Jesse has been an important part of the Leading Edge Electrical team.
In his spare time he can be found at the basketball court or frequenting a festival or concert.
Geoff grew up around the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and even had a short stint in Perth. It seems that Geoff likes fishing as he said his hobbies are “fishing, fishing and fishing and sometimes I go fishing”.
Over the past 3 years at Leading Edge Electrical, Geoff said his favourite parts of working is the crew he works with and the variety of work we do.
Luke is a Waikato lad and grew up in Morrinsville. One of the main things he enjoys about working at Leading Edge Electrical is that everyone are mates, more than just work colleagues.
He also enjoys rugby, golf and having a few beers with the boys.
Mike was also born and breed in Morrinsville. He is keen on Rugby and can occasionally be found at the Toppy local pub.
Mike most enjoys working here at Leading Edge Electrical because of his great workmates and because of the challenges that arise on a day to day basis. Mike has been with us since 2015.
As a keen rugby and basketball player, our man Kingston knows how to be a great team player.
Kingston joined us here at Leading Edge Electrical in 2018. Due to his hard work and dedication to the job, he was promptly offered an electrical apprenticeship.
Kingston is getting used to study again as part of his apprenticeship but is “still learning heaps” and said that the “boys at work are helping heaps” with his on the job learning.
Thomas started with us at the start of 2019 and after proving to be a keen and dedicated team member he was offered an apprenticeship. Thomas said he is stoked to have this opportunity and he is taking the job in his (rather long) stride.
This tall young lad was born and bred in New Plymouth and ventured up to the wonderful Waikato a couple of years ago to start his new adventure. He likes to play football and hang out with friends in his spare time.
Kelly has been with us since the start of 2019 and works part-time to fit in around her family with 3 kids and a fur baby.
Marketing is what Kelly knows best and enjoys learning more about the Electrical industry and home ventilation.
Peter grew up in Tokoroa and has recently made the move to the Tron to join us here at Leading Edge Electrical. He is keen on all sorts of sports including touch, rugby and league.
